PostSubject: Private Messaging and Emailing   Mon Apr 05, 2010 7:33 pm

    What is Private Messaging?
Private Messaging (AKA PM's) is a service which we and other forums use to allow registered users to talk to each other privately without any other user from knowing what your talking about, like an Email. However moderators and 'TheDarkCube' can see everyone's PM's for security and safety reasons.

    I cannot send private messages!
There are three reasons for this; you are not registered and/or not logged on, 'TheDarkCube' has disabled private messaging for everyone, or 'TheDarkCube' has prevented you individually from sending messages. If this is the latter case you should try asking 'TheDarkCube' why, you may have been banned from sending PM's.

I keep getting unwanted private messages!
If you don't want someone to PM you, just ignore them. No I don't mean pretend they don't exist, I mean our 'Foe ignore' system. Goto 'Settings' at the top and then 'Friends/Foes', here you can add 'Foes', these are people who you have banned from contacting you and other things. If you think that this person is abusing the website's PM system and is abusing the Terms and Conditions and even abusing other users, please inform 'TheDarkCube' -- He has the power to prevent a user from sending private messages at all and other things.

Can I Email other members and how?
If you are registered you may be able to, but only if that member has enabled this feature from their account, guests can not Email any members. If you are registered and logged in, goto that members profile or any of their posts/topics and click 'Email', you can use our built-in email form to Email them. This built-in email form allows you to Email other members and them to Email you without anyone from knowing each others Email address (unless they post it or use it to reply back).

I have received a spamming or abusive email from someone on this board!
We are very sorry to hear that. If you are a registered member they probably used the email form feature of this board which includes safeguards to help try to track users who send such posts. You should email the 'TheDarkCube' with a full copy of the email you received and it is very important this include the headers (these list details of the user that sent the email). They can then take action. If you are NOT a member then they did NOT use this website to email you, or if you are a member and they did NOT use this website to email you we can not take any action against them. If this is the case you must contact that members 'Email Provider' and contact your 'Email Provider', we wish to help but we can not do more than this.
